Child Safety Standards

Beacon is committed to keeping its community safe. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in any form. These standards describe how we prevent, detect, and act on content or behavior that endangers children.

Prohibited content and behavior

The following are strictly prohibited on Beacon and result in immediate removal and account termination:

• Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind.
• Sexualization of minors, including images, text, or links.
• Grooming: befriending or contacting a minor to lower their inhibitions for the purpose of sexual abuse or exploitation.
• Sextortion, trafficking, or any other form of child exploitation.
• Using Beacon to arrange in-person meetings that endanger a minor.

Age requirements

Beacon is not intended for children under 13, and you must meet the minimum age required in your country to use the app. Accounts found to belong to underage users are removed.

How to report a concern

If you see content or behavior on Beacon that may harm a child, report it to us immediately:

• In the app: use the Contact form (Settings → Contact) to reach us directly.
• By email: H22099@astra.xlri.ac.in — reports are reviewed with priority.

Reports can be made anonymously. We review child-safety reports promptly and take appropriate action, including removing content, terminating accounts, and preserving evidence.

Action on child sexual abuse material

When we become aware of CSAM, we remove it immediately, terminate the responsible account, and report it to the relevant authorities, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) or the appropriate local authority, as required by law.

Cooperation with law enforcement

We comply with applicable child safety laws in the regions where Beacon operates, and we cooperate with law-enforcement requests relating to child safety in accordance with the law.
